The club is starting to enjoy the warmer weather and still have a few fun events planned before we take the summer off. In May, Men’s Night Out will be taking to the field for softball season and we also have our Cinco de Mayo party on May 5th. For June, we are hosting another dining out event, Elizabeth is hoping to have a beach party for the children, and Ladies Night Out, along with the Book Club and Dad & Me, will have final events until we reconvene in September. In July, we will have our end-of-the year clam bake. We also hope to sponsor one more charity organization.
Each year we switch board positions so the club can benefit from fresh ideas and give people a great way to get involved with the community. Please let us know if you would like to be a board member next year or if you would like to join us at a meeting in the next few months to see what they are like.
We have really enjoyed our roles as Co-Presidents and have met a lot of wonderful people over the past year. We will continue to be on the board, but in different roles and we look forward to another year of being part of the Newcomers Club.
